Textimage

One of the biggest issues plaguing Textimage for way too long is the lack of support for PostgreSQL. This has now, hopefully, changed.

I've just recently made two commits related to this issue, and can confirm that Textimage now works with PgSQL on both Drupal 5 and 6 (in my testing environment at least), and while I haven't yet tested it, I'm confident that it will also work on Drupal 7.

With Textimage 2.1 due out shortly I thought I would take the time to writeup a little guide to show an example of one of the many things Textimage can be used for.

This example is not specific to the latest version, however for best results, especially where transparency is concerned, I would suggest using the latest dev build or the latest stable build if you are reading this after 2.1 has been released.

I've just released another few updates to Textimage and pending some testing, I should hopefully be able to release version 2.1 for Drupal 5, 6 and 7 within the next few days.

The latest updates bring back the Fixed width and Text alignment functionalities, which I had previously removed due to the complete re-write of the rotation algorithm. Also included are a few minor bug fixes that have been sitting in the issue queue for way to long.

Textimage, one of my maintained Drupal modules, has recently received an update bringing support for the development build of Drupal 7.

While this may seem of minor importance given the early state of Drupal 7, I have taken it upon myself to make sure that all of my modules will be ready as early as possible after the release of Drupal 7 stable so as not to see a repeat of the, in my opinion, slow adoption rate of Drupal 6.

The other major change in these builds of Textimage is a re-written rotation algorithm which provides far more consistent results.
