While it hasn't even been a month since FileField Paths version 1.1 was released, version 1.2 is now out, bringing with it many fixes and a few new features.

As for the bug fixes, I'm happy to say that the recursion issue that had been plaguing me issue queue for many months, yet always eluding me, has finally been purged.

The main reason for this release was so that I could push out an official build of ImageField Tokens, which requires some of the latest changes. More information on that release should come shortly.
